Unlike other platforms, this traffic is real. Now that's not to say they don't have a bot problem. THEY DO, but so does the rest of the internet. The key difference here is it's easier to build up an audience that actually gives a fuck about you.

Most socials are too fast passed and rely on trends. If you don't participate you risk getting ignored by the algorithms.

This makes it hard to build a real connection to the creator, because even if you get a ton of views. Using trends makes you blend in with all the other people doing trends.

It's a platform made by Google, so YouTube videos rank well in search engines. Also most phones come with google as the default search engine and Youtube usually comes pre-installed.

It lets you to show ads to people who have previously interacted with your website or videos. Making it more likely they will buy.

Youtube is the only social media platform that has figured out the formula for paying creators. Giving you an additional revenue stream for your business.

Now I know you're probably thinking...hey I know other social media platforms that have a creator funds too tho...

& that's true, but Youtube is the only one that doesn't pay in peanuts.

Youtube has the best longevity out of ALL SOCIAL MEDIA. Not only have they withstood the test of time...time and time again, but your content has more chances to blow up.

Tiktok can give you "virality" one day and dump you the next day. Unlike other social media platforms where content has a shelf life Youtube still promotes old content if it becomes relevant. All other social media platforms have this issue. They only push your content for a while if at all, while Youtube on the other hand still gives your content the chance to blow up even years into the future.

This doesn't mean they don't work. Tons of people have found a way to make those platforms work for them. I just happen to like Youtube the most and don't like it when people don't explain themselves. Facebook claims to have 3.06 billion monthly active users. However, IN MY OPINION a large amount of traffic on there FEELS Ai driven or humans using AI to spam irrelevant comments.

AI-generated content, like the absurd 'shrimp jesus' meme, misrepresents sacred symbols in a way that's disrespectful. I've never met a real person who would pray to "shrimp jesus". Now before you say this is insulting to the intelligence of Facebook users just take into consideration how that content is an insult to christianity. The thirsty old guys commenting on Ai generated people are probably real, but it does demonstrate that a lot of content is spam

Facebook's "Ai" over-glorified chatbots are only making this worse. I can only imagine that this is gonna make it even harder to reach real people. I think they want some of that ad revenue. IN MY OPINION this would be the only explanation for their "relatable" bots😂

I would recommend Linkedin if I didn't get so many direct messages from scammers. Theres too many "businesses" trying to sell you useless crap on there. A large part of the content that does well on there is just ridiculously vague motivational posts.The other half is praising the fuck out of Ai.

That's a quarter of all ad clicks. Adding on to this dumpster fire, Linkedin keeps promoting "Ai 'creators' " who encourage using bots & feeding them our data to spit out even more slop.

Browser plugins taking people's content are more common and promoted by these "Ai" "creators". "Helping" you churn out shitty content at break neck speeds or post vague ass comments that just regurgitate the post back at you. If I knew 25% of my money was being burned I'd be mad.

I know I may seem "harsh" on "Ai" "creators", but they don't care about real creators. Even tho Ai wouldn't even exist without taking from us so why should we be nice to them? Most "Ai creators" spend most of their time talking about how traditional artists are gonna die out so I think this is perfectly valid to explain why that's a stupid ass statement. If you argue that "this is just a fun image nobody is being hurt by this" then you haven't been paying attention to anything that has been going on or anything I said in this message. You are a huge part of the problem, you don't need to start hating Ai but at least use some common sense and hold it to the same standards. If Ai can steal everythign then they can't be bitching about their shit getting stolen but they do this all the time with their useless prompts and OpenAi attacking Deepseek. I'm not saying you should hate AI and avoid it, but also don't just throw out all rules for hype.

I don't care if people use Ai in their work. I just don't like using AI to replace humans and create a bunch of spam. Linkedin users are drunk with AI right now.

Tiktok had the best algorithm of all. Specially for local shops, but recently after it went down. I noticed the algorithm wasn't as good at pushing content to the right people or showing me relevant videos.

There's also the threat of it being removed all together. IN MY OPINION, that will not go away because it can be a good way to keep the youth in check.
From my point of view it feels like "Do as we say or we take it away."

I don't like making content for instagram, but the platform does still work. I think you get the best results from it when the owner is part of the content creation. There is tons of different audiences and you can make pretty much anything work if you work on the execution. Currently I just wanna use it for fun collabs. Quick brainrot type shih, improvised skits that take an unexpected turn but don't take too much time to make. Just having fun with flipping trends on their heads lol

Instagram's algorithm prioritizes very specific content, this makes it difficult for real businesses, even with huge followings, to get organic reach. Not impossible just difficult. There are lots of examples of businesses doing well on instagram organically. The main way people break through on there is by taking a trend that the algorithm likes and then adding their own twist. This way the algorithm picks it up, but the content is unique enough to get fans

Currently I have less than 70 followers and have reached 5k-6k on some of my reels (Not all, they kinda tanked after I officially launched by brand, and also I hate doing trends 💀), but I've also seen accounts with over 10k-50k followers struggling to get past 2k-6k in views even with multiple collabs & it's not their fault. It's an issue with over-saturation

IN MY OPINION, Instagram knows businesses are more likely to pay so they prioritize pushing content from regular users. I've seen a lot of really good marketing on there, but it always has the sponsored tag when it comes from a business.

I also don't want my work used to train their AI. It pisses me off that only large corporations get deals with Ai companies. They know this is wrong or else they wouldn't even bother making a deal. Insta demands proof of our work inside their "black box" that nobody is allowed to see... Which is not easy right now. Eventually we will be able to find it in the database by using another AI that can read through all that data but for now I'm gonna keep my work off insta. I'm thinking of just posting regular content there if at all cuz fuck the zuck.

They also change their algorithm so often that the only sure way of getting views is by telling people you have the secret settings for blowing up 🤣

Alternatively, you can build a very supportive fan base, but at this point the algorithm isn't doing shit. It's all about the fans supporting the person or product. If you manage to do this then it doesn't even matter that much what platform you post on, but that's easier said than done.

It's always been difficult to measure how many people actually saw the ad. The price is coming down tho so maybe at one point it could be worth looking into it for local ads.

Old people also still get a kick out of seeing things on Tv. They see it as more prestigious thing to brag about "look mom I'm on Tv" 😂. So I am not completely taking this one out of the equation just yet, I just need a good reason to test it.
